In July 2006 Ms. Moon joined Lodgian as a Senior Property Accountant. She was quickly promoted to Property Accounting Supervisor and later to Accounting Manager. In her current role, Cheryl has responsibility for the monthly and annual closing process, preparation and review of internal financial statements, development of ad hoc reports and statistical analysis, and working with senior management on accounting issues and implementation of processes and systems.
Before joining Lodgian, Ms. Moon worked for Avado Brands as a Senior Accountant supporting 30 restaurants with the month-end closing process. Her prior employment history includes 6 years at Creme de la Creme as the Corporate Accountant managing accounting and human resources for 6 day care centers. Cheryl also spent 6 years at Georgia-Pacific as an Accounting Supervisor responsible for invoicing, sales reporting and general accounting.
Ms. Moon was born and raised in Georgia. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BS degree in Accounting, and is currently working towards her CPA.
