Barry D. Stein

Since 1985 Barry has extensive domestic and international experience in all aspects of program management for projects ranging up to to $300 million. Barry has participated in and led teams in design management, construction management, cost estimating and scheduling. Barry�s hotel project experience includes Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino Phase III Expansion, The Atlantis III, Four Seasons Nevis, conversion of three Adams Mark hotels to Hyatt and Sheraton, Watergate Hotel, Mansion on Forsyth, Palmilla Resort and Bluegreen Las Vegas.

 

Prior to joining Lodgian as Director of Capital Projects, Barry was a Vice President for Boyken International/Hill International where, with a staff of 20, he represented numerous clients as a 3rd party providing project, construction, cost and quality management. Barry also started an office as a vice President and General Manager for a general contractor, and managed projects directly for the seven-million SF Atlanta Market Center, a Portman Company. Additionally, Barry has provided forensic analysis and support for project litigation and has testified in arbitration proceedings.

 

Barry�s experience coupled with his Bachelor�s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master�s degree in Business Administration has prepared him as a skilled leader in the planning, development and delivery of projects. He has also led a team in the development of an extensive process and procedures manual for a program management firm.

 

Barry holds certifications as a Cost Consultant through the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and as a Construction Inspector through the Association of Construction Inspectors. He is LEED accredited through the United States Green Building Council and has conducted seminars on managing construction projects through Lorman Educations Services.
